Tim Clark
Tim Clark is a veteran of dozens of political campaigns – including local, state legislative, congressional, and statewide candidate campaigns as well as local and statewide ballot measures. He is one of only two campaign managers to have successfully elected a Republican to California statewide office in the past decade.
Prior to co-founding Clark Davis Associates in 2009, Mr. Clark served as a partner and Senior Vice President of JohnsonClark Associates (JCA), where, for 15 years, he headed up the candidate campaign division. Under Mr. Clark’s direction, JCA became one of the most distinguished Republican candidate campaign firms in California, consistently handling the state’s top-tier legislative and congressional targets and compiling an unmatched record of success in marginal Republican districts. That’s one reason why, in May of 2004, Tim Clark was named by Campaigns & Elections magazine as one of ten national “rising stars” in GOP politics.
The firm’s award-winning work also earned over forty national awards for political campaign advertising excellence during Mr. Clark’s tenure, including national recognition for the top mail piece (legislative race) and television commercial (down-ballot statewide candidate).
In 2006, Mr. Clark served as Campaign Manager for Steve Poizner’s California Insurance Commissioner campaign, leading a team that included some of the nation’s top GOP strategists, pollsters, and media consultants. Steve Poizner defeated incumbent Lt. Governor Cruz Bustamante by over twelve percentage points, and he joined Governor Schwarzenegger as one of only two Republicans to prevail on the 2006 statewide ticket. Steve Poizner is the first Republican non-incumbent since 1994 to win a California statewide down-ballot election.
Mr. Clark has also been active in the California Republican Party, where he directed the election efforts of the past three chairmen, including Shawn Steel, George “Duf” Sundheim, and current Chairman Ron Nehring.
Tim Clark graduated from San Jose State University with degrees in Political Science and Business.
Stephanie Griffing
Stephanie Griffing serves as the Vice President of the Candidate Campaigns division. She is a recognized professional in campaign organizational and finance management, as well as in coalition building and campaign communications. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Griffing served as Political Director of JohnsonClark Associates, where under her direction, the firm won an impressive string of victories in California legislative and local elections. She also served on the staff of a county supervisor and member of the California State Senate. Ms. Griffing holds a Masters Degree in Diplomacy and International Commerce.
